At a well-attended meeting last night (Friday 5th April 2013) members selected their new Prospective Parliamentary Candidate from a short list of three. The successful candidate was Thomas Pursglove.
Thomas is 24 years old and has considerably political experience having worked with Peter Bone, MP and Chris Heaton-Harris MP. He has also worked in the Office of the Rt. Hon. Douglas Hogg QC MP.
After being successfully selected Thomas thanked the members and said that for him the campaign for the next General Election begins tomorrow. He promised to start his campaign by canvassing with the candidates for the County Council elections which take place on 2nd May 2013.
